There is a difference between the Student Shared Folder and the Student Drop Box folder. When students go to the student shared folder, they can open a document you have placed there for them.
Using the Student Shared Folder
The student shared folder allows students to save work, delete work, edit work. Please be aware of this when you are using it
1. Create a folder inside the student shared folder for your classes.
There are multiple ways to do this- Call the folder your last name, the class name, the class/period, or even an assignment name
2. When students have documents to share with teachers, they need to save it to their H drive FIRST, then copy the document into the folder folder you have created in the student shared folder.
3. If a student needs to make a change to the document they submitted, they will need to open the document from their H drive, make the changes, RENAME the document, then follow the steps above to save the document and copy to the shared folder again.
4. Teachers and students have access to open, change, or delete items in the student shared folder.
Using the Drop Box Folder
Students do NOT have access to open or delete documents from the drop box.
1. Create a folder inside the drop box for your classes.
